Is there an age limit for NärCon?
No, there isn't! NärCon is open to everyone, regardless of age. <3 However, the decision of how old a child should be to attend NärCon on their own is up to their parents or guardians.
Opening hours?
NärCon is open 24/7, from the moment we open the event until we close. Most scheduled activities take place during the day, but there are always things like gaming rooms open around the clock. But don't forget to sleep and take care of yourself during the event! :)
Where can I find my ticket?
You can find it in the ticketing system Kippu. Log in there and under "Tickets" select the relevant event.
What age is required for tickets? Can children enter for free?
Children aged 7 and over require a ticket. Children aged 0-6 can enter for free when accompanied by an adult.
What do I need to bring to the sleeping area?
Something to sleep on, such as a sleeping mat, sleeping bag, and pillow. Your sleeping area ticket gives you a sleeping space of approximately 1 meter wide for the entire event, so please don't bring a mattress wider than that. However, if two people want to sleep together, it's fine for you to have a double mattress on your space with two sleeping area tickets.
When will you release Artist Alley applications for NärCon Sommar?
Short answer: In March before each NärCon Sommar.
Being in Artist Alley is something that many more people want to do than there are available spots (For NärCon Vinter 2025, we had 45 spots and 226 applicants). Therefore, you have to submit an application where you show your portfolio. Before the application release, we will post on social media and update our website, so keep an eye out!
How do the cosplay competitions work? How do I sign up? Which ones are there and when are they?

How do I apply to be a volunteer?
You do this through our Panda system, which you can find at panda.narcon.events.
Can I pay with cash at NärCon? How do you accept payment?
As of 2023, NärCon's own food service, entrance, cloakroom, and Cosmos shop are cashless to make the event even safer. You can pay in these places with either card or Swish (a Swedish mobile payment service). In addition to NärCon's own operations, there are visiting shops, exhibitors, food trucks, and Artist Alley; they decide for themselves how they accept payment.
